5 Fun Things to Do For Mother's Day in Simcoe County

We have put together some events to take Mom to this coming weekend, in Simcoe County. Head out for some local fun, and enjoy the sunshine!

1. Collingwood Mothers Day Market - Sunday May 13

Head over to Collingwood for a fun afternoon at Side Launch Brewing Company. They will be holding a event for mothers, featuring food sampling, live outdoor music, giveaways and last but not least craft beer tasting! There will be over 30 local brands, artisan foods and workshops! Admission is canned goods or clothing donations.

2. The Mom Show! Midland Cultural Centre - Sunday May 13

The award-winning comedy troupe Good Morning Apocalypse will be performing ‘The Mom Show’ at the Midland Cultural Centre. The Mom Show is a celebration of motherhood in all its forms, from frazzled moms of toddlers to empty nesters with adult children, from perfect moms who can do it all to those hanging on to sanity by their fingernails. Enjoy some high tea and the show for $35, or just head to the show for $20. There will also be a prize for the best high tea fashion! When: Sunday May 13, 11am.

3. Live Jazz Sunday Afternoon - Sunday May 13

Take your Mom for a relaxing afternoon lunch at Sticky Fingers Bar & Grill on Dunlop St. Enjoy lunch while listening to local artists perform live Jazz music.

4. Orillia’s Farmers Market - Saturday May 12

The Orillia’s Farmers market is a free event with tons of fun things to see and do. Grab some seasonal Ontario produce, delicious prepared foods, exquisite artisan works, and enjoy some live music. There will be a draw to win a Mother’s day gift basket as well!

5. 4th Annual Mother’s Day High Tea - Sunday May 13

Enjoy a fun morning and some delicious snacks! There will be traditional tea, a professional photo, Emcee Andrea Murray, Barrie’s own Town Crier Steve Travers, Harpist Amy Hynes and the COPE Service Dogs. Tickets are $45 and doors open at 11am.
