Looking To Try Something New?

Blog by Robert & Matthew Johnston | August 22nd, 2015

This week the Fall/Winter Recreation Guide was distributed throughout the city of Barrie. As the leaves start to turn colour and the days get shorter, many of us would prefer to spend our leisure time indoors. We are fortunate in Barrie to have state of the art recreational facilities and a wide variety of activities available right here at home.  The Allandale Recreation Centre, East Bayfield Community Centre, and the Holly Community Centre, as well as several smaller community centres, offer activities for all ages, from infant to senior.

It is never too late to learn to swim, take up ballroom dancing or discover your inner artist. Can't fit a class into your busy schedule? Not to worry. All of the centres offer drop in fitness classes and open swim times so everyone can get in on the fun. Not only is Barrie a great city in which to live and work, but it's also the ideal place to play!  The Fall/Winter Rec Guide is available at any of the Rec Centres listed above or can be viewed online at www.play.barrie.ca. Register today . . . you never know what hobbies you may discover! thumb
